Program Schedule :
Participants will be reciting Chapter 4 - Jnaana-Karma-Sanyaasa yoga
Competition is open to Chinmaya members only Registration Fee: $5 per participant
- Group Dhruva: Grades PreK and KG - Shlokas 1 through 6
- Group Prahallada: Grades 1 and 2 - Shlokas 1 through 12
- Group Markandeya: Grades 3 and 4 - Shlokas 1 through 18
- Group Upamanya: Grades 5 and 6 - Shlokas 1 through 24
- Group Narada : Grades 7 though 12 - Shlokas 1 through 30
- Group Tyagaraja: Adults - Shlokas 1 through 36*
Note: * For Tyagaraja category, a pro-rated bonus of up to 6 points will be awarded for reciting all the remaining shlokas 37 – 42 of the chapter and up to 4 points for explaining the meaning
of any two shlokas that may be asked by the judges. (prescribed shlokas for meaning: 1-10)
• Conclusion as given in the end of the chapter applies to all groups
• Gita verses will be taught in the Shlokathon class starting Sunday, Oct 23rd, 2011
